THEASCENT ISTHE POINT

A gamified life-tracking app — the daily work of becoming who you intend to be, turned into a game you can actually win. Real tasks, real hours, real habits move a pilgrim up a mountain toward real goals — every day closed into a permanent record, every step earned, nothing congratulated.

01 / THE PRODUCT

The product turns real days into a pilgrimage worth walking.

Life is mapped as an ascent from Florence to a summit, across fifty-nine named villages and waypoints. There are no imaginary points. Steps exist only because hours were kept, iron was lifted, work was shipped, or a lesson was finished — and every day is sealed into the record at four in the morning, closed forever.

The Way

The front page of the pilgrimage: position on the mountain under a dawn sky, the day's tasks, the exams counting down, the daily reading. What matters today, before anything is asked.

The Scriptorium

A focus chamber per exam. Real Pomodoro rounds drive a real timer on the server; focused minutes bank into each exam's forty hours, the lock screen is rung when a round completes, and nothing moves without the owner's hand.

The Quests

Twenty side quests as painted scenic cards — trails to hike, books to read, cities to reach, a bench to press. Each carries a struck medallion and a modest purse; the mountain pays the diligent, never the idle.

02 / THE PILLARS

Seven pillars hold the day. Each one tracks something real.

Every domain is named for a patron whose life argues for the discipline. Five earn steps when kept, one earns them by the hour, and one is deliberately never measured at all.

Jesus — Time with Him

First in the Log, above every master, by design. Tracks three daily practices — reading the Bible, saying the affirmations, praying — with the Declarations and the Charge kept in the app to be read aloud. All three kept verifies the day. Before all else, the day is His.

Michelangelo — The Work

Dental school, hour by hour: clinic and sim lab matched against the school calendar, voluntary study through the timer, forty banked hours per exam in the Scriptorium's focus chambers. The only pillar paid by time — because mastery is bought by the hour. Hands being trained to heal.

Leonardo — The Body

A six-day training plan with every set, rep, and pound recorded; progressive overload suggesting five more pounds than last week; the week's shape measured in volume and sessions kept. The body is the instrument of everything else, and the instrument is maintained.

Jerome — The Tongues

Named for the translator of the Scriptures. Tracks language lessons — Spanish, one lesson at a time — because the patients of the future deserve to be understood in their own words.

Dalí — The Reach

Creative work shipped in public: posts logged by category, counts and pace recorded, a gallery of what was actually made. Not performance for its own sake — proof that the work leaves the room.

Medici — The Stewardship

Named for the great patrons of Florence. Tracks the tending of money — the acts of stewardship that fund the mission — on the conviction that finance is patronage of one's own calling.

Hestia — The Hearth

Rest, home, and what should never be optimized. Lit automatically when the day's reflection is written, worth zero steps forever, by law. Nothing checks this, and nothing ever will — the hearth is kept, not counted.

03 / THE FIGURE

The figure is the product. He is dressed by the record alone.

One pilgrim, drawn in twenty-eight authored layers and composed by rule — a fixed z-stack, one item to a slot, the full robe hiding what it covers, the ring yielding to the tool. Nothing here is decoration: every garment below was issued by a rank actually held or bought with florins actually earned. The two figures beneath are real output of the game's compositor, not illustration.

THE GARZONE / DAY ONE
He arrives with nothing.

The base body, the workshop shoes, the garzone's scrubs — and the founding fifteen florins in his purse. Every other garment in the game must be earned into the permanent record before it will render at all.

THE MAESTRO / THE SUMMIT VESTMENT
Every florin spent, every rank held — the record, worn.

Peak body, the Maestro's ring, the Giornante loupes, the Capomastro kit, the lucco over the camicia, the master's hammer in hand, three seasons of weathering, the candle lit. The lucco, being full-length, hides the grembiule and farsetto beneath it — the suppression rules of the layer law, rendered exactly as the game renders them.

THE BOTTEGA / WHAT THE FLORINS BUY

The wearable catalogue, drawn from the same layer art the figure wears. Prices in florins — minted only at arrivals and season's end.

04 / DESIGN + IDENTITY

A reverent identity for someone who wants his effort witnessed.

Identity architecture

Renaissance-Christian, austere, warm. Cormorant Garamond speaks for the mountain; the interface recedes into a dark ground so the work itself is the lit object in the room. The app never cheers and never uses an exclamation mark — it witnesses. Completion is acknowledged the way a monastery bell acknowledges the hour.

THE RECORD IS THE REWARD

Signal palette

Color is doctrine. One warm accent for action, gold for what time has earned, dawn indigo only in the sky. Red does not exist anywhere in the system — failure is never shouted.

01 / DERIVATION

Derived, never accumulated.

Steps, florins, position, and streaks are computed from the permanent record on every read. No stored counters, no drift, no lies.

02 / WITNESS

The witness, not the cheerleader.

All one hundred eighty system strings are written in one solemn voice. Nothing congratulates. The record acknowledges, and that is enough.

03 / SOVEREIGNTY

By your hand.

No timer starts itself, no break begins unbidden, no transition happens without a press. The record only ever contains time that was chosen.

05 / THE ENGINE

An economy where the only currency is a day actually lived.

Days close at 04:00 and never reopen. Florins are minted only at arrivals and season's end, spent only in the Bottega, and the entire record — twenty-five tables of it — exports to the owner's hands on demand. Built to run unchanged for three years: minimal dependencies, nothing that expires, nothing that phones home.

Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings and not before officials of low rank.PROVERBS 22:29 · THE FOUNDING VERSE
06 / PRODUCT PATH

From a world of one to whatever the mountain asks next.

Now — private world of one

The owner lives in the application daily: the study chamber before exams, the training hall six days a week, the practices kept each morning. Twenty-five shipped versions and counting, each logged in the Workshop.

Next — the deep season

Scrapbooks generated from quest records, the painted village art pass, seasonal rites at the first season's close, and whatever the daily ritual proves it needs.

Someday — other pilgrims

The engine generalizes: any life can be mapped to a mountain. A multi-pilgrim release would require accounts, recovery, and consent work — a deliberate future phase, claimed only when true.

STATUS

Live as a private beta. The application is used every day and iterated continuously — twenty-five versions across design, engine, and ritual — while the public, many-pilgrim version remains a deliberate next phase, not a claim already made.
